December 2010

Whew! We have had a long ride! This past weekend - December 10th - we closed and moved into our new home in Conroe, Texas. I instantly got sick and Brent has been doing all the moving, unpacking and putting up all our Christmas deorations!

Adam loves his new home. When we leave to go somewhere, he will ask if we are coming back to our new house. cute.

Adam's sayings lately:
Adam - Mommy, I wanna go upstairs.
Mommy - Not right now, I'm cold. (wanted to stay by fireplace)
Adam - points to leg and says 'put pants on' (I still had my pjs on)

At MiMi and PoPo's house:
Adam goes from kitchen to MiMi & PopPop's room with a popsicle.
PopPop is shaving in his bathroom.
PopPop- Adam, you need to go back into the kitchen with that popsicle so you don't drip on the carpet.
Adam - looks at PopPop and the bathroom floor, cocks his head, points to bathroom floor and says to PopPop 'like kitchen'

Mommy - Adam eat your bananna
Adam - hmmmmm how bout apple
Mommy - no, eat yur bananna
Adam - ummmmm how bout breakfast bar
Mommy - no, eat your bananna
Adam - ummmm, how bout fruit chews
and on it goes. He barters!

Adam will now get out my swiffer vacuum and clean our new hardwood floors. He finished and went and put it up in the closet. I said thank you. He looks around and says 'needs more.'

Adam's favorite word - 'why'

Thanksgiving Desert Ramblings...

Amber's always the one that posts stuff, and since I'm stuck in the Saraha through Thanksgiving and in serious need of a break from work, and feeling a little homesick, I figured I'd chime in for once.

Ever have those times when you realize just how blessed you are, then feel a little guilty for all the griping you've been doing? That's one of those times for me.

Sidebar: My first job was in New Mexico, miles away from family and friends, and I remember how much it sucked doing stuff alone - eating, watching tv, recreation, etc. One day - Independence Day had just come out - and I was a little embarrassed about going to the movies alone, so I bought a ticket and snuck in behind a family...like I was just lagging behind a little. Didn't want people to think I was a pariah.

Going out to eat was the same way - you can only eat alone at home so many days before you go crazy. Gotta get out, but sitting in a diner alone can be a little intimidating.

One day it dawned on me that it's a good thing to eat alone sometimes. It really helps you appreciate sharing meals with family and friends. Same with the movies. Same with everything.

It sucks being away from home - in the middle of freaking podunk Saraha Desert on Thanksgiving - surrounded by questionable strangers and noxious places. But, it really helps clear my head, clarify why I work, and remind me what's waiting at home. Happy Thanksgiving Everybody - b

Thanksgiving letter for my son

Dear Heavenly Father, I am so thankful that you are a God that forgives, changes lives and meets us where we are. I want to thank you for blessing me by giving me the BEST parents for me - what a perfect placement! Born in the best country where I don't have to worry about water, food, clothing or shelter. Forgive me for when I forget to give you the praise for those necessities. Thank you for a husband who works so hard to provide those things, thank you for my extended family that loves me unconditionally and for a group of women whom I can call friends. Thank you for my perfect present, the gift only you could give, the gift of my son, Adam. Thank you for showing me that, I am doing ok as a Mom because I already see you in him. I see you when he loves, hugs, kisses, says thank you, please and sorry, when he obeys by picking up his toys or throwing away trash, all on his own and by his own thoughts. Thank you for the gift of him to teach me more about You!

Update

Since Brent, Adam and I have been out of pocket for a while, I haven't posted in a while. No internet access.

Some funny stories:
Adam now speaks just about everything we say to him. He also repeats us too! Today, Brent called and I said 'hi'. Adam said, 'hi'. I said 'whats up' and Adam said 'whats up'. It was too cute.

He loves trains and cars! He doesn't really know about Thomas the Train but we took him to the Texas State RR in Rusk Texas for Thomas the Train day out! Adam loved it and so did we! It was a blast! That day, all we talked about was Thomas the train. So now, all Adam talks about is Thomas the train. And every single day since then he tells me he wants to ride Thomas the train.

He will give things for us to open of fix. If Daddy doesn't fix it fast enough he will try to yank it away and sigh and say 'Mommy fix it'. Or vice versa. So impatient!!!

He likes to jump from Granddads coffee table to the couch. He yells a Nikki to stay when she barks at him. so funny. He also got his first busted lip from his hands slipping on the table when he was crawling back on.

Today, I was getting dressed up to go have dinner with Brent and his coworker Joke. Adam paused from watching Chuggington and turned and just starred at me. I thought he was just checking on me and would continue his show but he just stared and said 'pretty'. AWE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My son called me pretty at almost 2 and a half! So cute!

He loves saying YMCA! So cute

He will spot an airplane or a school bus faster than you can imagine! And if you don't see it and ask, Are you sure, you saw an airplane? He will say YES!!!! like he is soooooooo excited! kinda high pitch...YES!!!!!! Mama, I saw it! Yes, I saw it! so cute

All for now! We are celebrating Thanksgiving early this Saturday because Brent is traveling to Algeria again for the month of Novemeber!

Adam at 2 years old

Adam turned 2 on Saturday! What a fantastic day! We had close friends and family over to help us celebrate! It was a success!

Lately, Adam has hit terrible twos with a force! Really? I thought we would pass this stage! He is saying mine way to much! He really is possessive of everything. It doesn't have to be his stuff either....anything he thinks he has a right to is 'mine'. He is also screaming alot and talking back if you can believe it. His cousin, Peyton has been in town. And the LOVE each other! But they also get jealous and possessive of their things too. Peyton will say up and Adam will say down. Peyton will say 4 and Adam will say 2! Sounds smart and funny but no.

Some funny things: When Peyton swims in the pool Adam will follow saying 'I coming', 'Peyton, I coming'. SO SWEET!

Today, Peyton was still napping when Adam got up and so he kept telling us 'shhhhh, Peyton, sleeping' Then, we told him to go wake him up. Adam went in there....sweetest thing ever......Patted Peyton. And WHISPERED.....Peyton, Peyton, Peyton and gave him kisses! So sweet!!!

Adam has also been braving the pool on his own. He will just jump to me in the pool with no warning. Just jump. scary! He likes to go under the water so he will say 'under' 'under'. So cute

He also is now 'playing' us. He knows I won't give him sweets. So he use to ask me for 'sucker' 'cookie' 'juice' etc. I would say no. Now, he just bypasses me and goes to MiMi. He will now crawl up in her lap and PULL her up out of the chair and then ask for whatever he wants. Then he will put whatever she gives him in his mouth and then come to me with the BIGGEST smile EVER and will point to his mouth. He will tattle on MiMi!!!!! So funny. He will even suck on mints. too funny

He is going to sleep fantasticly! He even tells me sometimes that 'I sleepy'. YEA!!!!!!!! Finally!

He still doesn't eat. He only wants ham. ham. ham. ham. And not good ham....processes ham and cheese loaf! What do I do? I am turning gray!!!!!

That's it for now!

Adam's nighttime routine

As most of you know, the following is Adam's bedtime routine:
He kisses and hugs everyone nite nite.
He says nite nite to Molly the dog.
He does a farewell WAVE to everyone saying byebye.
We go upstairs and I rock him, read a book and he drinks his milk in a sippy cup now if that. We say prayers. He usually closes his eyes and says Amen. He now takes 1 or 2 cars to bed. I go through his 'who loves you' list. He gets in his own bed all by himself. I tuck him in. I tuck his monkey in. I tuck his cars in and I kiss them all and say nite nite. He hasn't cried in 2 weeks!!!!!!!!! Not even for his naps. His naps are even longer too. About 1-2 hours. Also, tonight I left my phone in his room. About 20 minutes later I went in there to get my phone and he was just playing cars. I retucked him in and he didn't even whimper!!!!! AMAZING! AMAZING! Finally! It is about time hu!!!

Adam lately

Well, we miss Brent! He is out of the country again in Brazil and Singapore. We can't wait for him to return!

Adam talks like crazy! Tonight, Adam and PopPop were playing cars. There were 9 cars and PopPop named them all. example: safari car, Daddy's truck, ice cream truck etc. So they were named and every time they would play, PopPop would say zoom zoom and also count each named car as they played. So Adam would go over to PopPop and say zoom zoom and race the car into PopPop. Then he would pick them all up and walk them to the table and count them. He always had to have 9 cars! By the end, Adam was saying a few of the numbers and at one point they only counted 8. Adam started screaming for 9. 9!!!! 9!!!!! 9!!!!! He was looking all around with his arms up like 'where is 9', 9!!!!!! 9!!!!! When he finally found 9 he clapped and said 9!!!!!

PopPop would also tell Adam to take each car to MiMi and Adam remembered which one was each car and take it to MiMi.

So cute!!!

Adam is also jumping into the pool with his head going under the water and swimming! (well, he doesn't swim on his own) MiMi will hold one hand under his belly BUT Adam kicks like crazy and will swing his arms. We are still working on the blowing bubbles. How do you teach that? I have done the motor boat song and we all show him and he still just holds his breathe and gasps for air! But we are so proud of him regardless!!

New phrases and such

As many of you know, we sold our home in a day and have been living between my parents and Brent's Dad's house for the last 2 months. We are building a home and it will take until November to be complete! YIKES! So my blogging as not been updated due to lack of internet access.

Adam talks like crazy! I think what really has got him to talking is singing! He started repeating words in the songs he likes! Super fun!

Here are some of the things he says:
He started to call ice cream - Ice then Icesomemo and now ice cream. We were all partial to icesomo!
He tells you what he wants and doesn't want. He will say I wan..........
outside
inside
drink
juice
icesomo
slide etc.
He sings ALOT!!! Listen to his Barney CD and he sings almost every song on it! Well, you know...he will sing certain words!
Some of his recent words have surprised me. I don't even think he is listening and all of a sudden he will say something.
We will say we are going around the circle (culdesac) and all of a sudden he started saying I wan roun circle.
He will point left, right and straight and usually gets his direction correct.
He knows the color blue. But then again he says everything is blue.
We took him to an Astros game yesterday. We were telling him we were about to get out. We were almost there. And he looked over and saw Minute Maid and started screaming ASTROS, ASTROS, ASTROS!!! No kidding!!!!!! HOW DID HE KNOW THAT IS WHERE WE WERE? How did he know? I am stunned? We said we were about to get out and get gathered ASTROS from that?????????
He says Aggies (All you Aggies should appreciate that)
His new favorite word is ENOUGH! ha ha ha
He will just stop somewhere and sit down and say 'I sit' He is very proud of that one!!!
He repeats alot of stuff like Lets Go! He will count to 3. He will complete ABC.
ONCE, I showed him his flash cards CLAP and he clapped. BALL and he said Ball and DUCK and he did his sign for duck.
I think that is all I can remember right now!

More words

Forgive me but I need to add more to Adam's word list. Again, I am sure I have mentioned some before but here it goes again.

Adam was given a Barney CD for his birthday from his buddy Cody Greenwalt. I know, I know...Barney you may think but the CD if FANTASTIC! I highly recommend it. When Adam was fussy in the car before we got our DVD player this CD was the only thing that somewhat calmed him down. He enjoys it. It says his name all throughout the CD and I think he likes that too. Anyway, there are some cute songs on there and Adam has started picking the songs up and kind of singing to them.

First song he ever really showed a responsive interest to was a song that talks about I think singing in the rain if it rained gumdrops. The song sings that you would stand with your mouth open wide and the song sings ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah. And Adam would sing that noise early on. Then he started anticipating it to happen and would sing it ahead of time....which I find neat....he actually knows it is coming to sing to it. Now he sings to it.

The next song he likes is a song that sings about the sun. Sun Sun Mr. Golden Sun please shine down on me......And he will sing sun sun. sun sun. sun sun.

THEN, there is a song that talks about Adam being special. Adam is special. special. And Adam started just blurting out.....SPECIAL. SPECIAL. It took me a while to understand this but he repeats it every single time the song since the word special. So that is funny.

Then at the end of a song it will say 'slow'. And RIGHT on EXACT CUE Adam will end the song by screaming SLOW! He knows it is the end and he shouts it out.

So here are some new words and phrases:
special
slow
sun
Nikki - Granddad's dog
ShaK - Aunt Shanna
pool
pull - he has been saying this for a long time but I don't think I have ever mentioned it.
gas - he puts gas in his cars and says gas....gas.....gas
stop
go
whoooooooa - when riding going up and down hills
whhhhheeeeee - when doing anything really run like going up and down hills
V - when yelling out that he spots an RV on the road
bug and does the bug sign when he sees a bug
hot - he has been doing this for a long time (he will also blow on his food crookedly)
Peyton - he says Peyton's name
stinky - for dirty diapers
nasty - for dirty diapers
fall - for anythying. him falling. him almost falling. a bucket of water dumping

ALSO, another story - A while back we were driving in The Woodlands and passed the building Brent works in and Adam started randomly just talking in the back seat saying Daddy, Daddy, Daddy. It took me forever to realize that the reason he was saying Daddy was because he related the building to Brent. Keep in mind, Brent has only worked there since January and Adam and I have only been there maybe 4 times. He says Daddy everytime we pass that building. I also put an Astros shirt on him today and he pointed to it and said Daddy. Does he know we are fans already????? Does he know we call him our little Lance Berkman b/c of his belly?

All for now!!!!!

Adam bedtime routine

Let me fill you in:

For Adam's bedtime routine I pretty much do the same thing and have for months. book.bottle.prayer.sing and then I do a rundown of everyone who loves him.

I say : Your Mama loves you, Daddy loves you, MiMi loves you, PopPop loves you, Granddad loves you, Aunt Autumn loves you, Peyton loves you, Aunt Shanna loves you, And then I go through all our friends. (won't name them in case I leave anyone out), then I go through all our family pets Maggie, Okie, Hollie, Mollie, Nikki and Chip. Then I say Jesus loves you most of all. SOOOOOOO with that said. Tonight, Adam jumped the gun! I said Mommy loves you and he said...and Daddy, yes and daddy loves you, and he said and MiMi, yes and MiMi loves you, and PopPop, yes and PopPop loves you, and he said and Peyton! Yes, and Peyton loves you!!!

Adam's phrases at 20 months

Life in Chaos

Whew! Breathe! So, about 4 weeks ago Brent came to me and said he thought we needed to put the house on the market to move closer to his work. (now we have been discussing this for a long time but 4 weeks ago it was decided) Not only that but he wanted it listed in 2 weeks. So we kicked it in super HIGH gear and worked on the house non-stop for 2 weeks. Cleaning, de-cluttering, staging, remodeling. You name it and we did it! We had our realtor come by on Monday to take pictures and get the house listed. The house was BEAUTIFUL! I love it! It looked fantastic. I was so looking forward to sitting back and resting in our beautiful clean home! NOPE....no chance for rest. Pictures were on the website by Tuesday. Wednesday we had a showing and an informal offer. Thursday we had an official offer! Not only that but they wanted us out by the 15th! BUT on top of all this....Brent had to leave out of the country a week from that date. So we spend a few days looking for a home. (We have 2 in mind) On Friday we had to MOVE EVERYTHING because Brent had to leave on Saturday. So we don't have a place to go. Our fantastic family is letting us stay with them! They are doing so good. They are not complaining. They are just going with the flow. Thanks Mom and Dad!!! Not only that but our family helped us move and everything. I can't rave about them enough! Thank you family!

Today, I finished it all! (after a few extra trips) I gathered all of it except 2 ladders. Cleaned just about from top to bottom. And we are out of my beautiful, perfect FIRST home! sniff sniff

My hot husband called me today and told me he was going on an African safari tomorrow! I pray he gets to go!

As for our beautiful, perfect, first baby......Adam! WOW WOW WOW I can't say enough! You would not believe how fantastic and smart he is! He is just thriving at MiMi and PopPops! His words are getting clearer! He gets up in the morning and goes to the upstairs gate and calls down for us....MaMa...if I don't answer he will call for MiMi. That is just about what he does for everything. He askes me for stuff all the time. He will call my name MaMa MaMa over and over again and if he doesn't get what he wants we will look straight at his MiMi and then call for MiMi trying to get her to defy me and he gets what he wants. If PopPop is home he will then try PopPop. He LOVES tractors. When we drive down the rode he cranes his neck looking for tractors and school buses. He loves them. When he sees a tractor he SCREAMS at the top of his lungs Mama or MiMi!!!!!!!! TRACTOR!!!! Full voice. Then he will clap for himself because he spotted the tractor and pointed it out to us.....(who did not see the tractor of course) So smart.

Words (not sure what I have recorded): keys, hot, bus, tractor, truck, blue, ice (for ice cream), drink, the famous cracker, ball, outside, shoes, puppy, kitty kat, fall, plus his originals- Mama, Daddy, MiMi, PopPop, daggie (for Maggie), doggie, up, down, done, help, etc

Spring Forward....yikes

So today, was a big day. Adam didn't really take a nap during nap time. As soon as he fell asleep and I put him in his crib he was wide awake crying and then practicing climbing out. Brent and I were doing alot of work so we decided to forgo it and hope he would nap in the car on the way to run our errands. He did not. He did not nap on the return trip either! Oh he was so adorable today. He was wearing a cute pair of plaid shorts and flip flops from his cousin, Peyton. With a while t-shirt! Wow.....he was adorable!!!!!! So after Brent and my hard work we decided we wanted a milk shake. Brent thought he would let Adam try some! Well, Adam took over! loved it. Of course! Sipped it like a big boy. The entire way home he was screaming happily....SLIDE! Mama!!!! Daddy!!!! I mean the whole time just rambling! After a little bit of calling our names over and over again (like the Family Guy commercial) I answered. He immediately said 'cracker'. Like.......Finally, I have been yelling for yall. I have him the cracker and clear as a bell.........he said THANK YOU! It was so clear. Both words. He has been mumbling it and it mostly sounds like 'tink' and he has been using his sign language for it but this was CLEAR! As soon as he said it, he ate like a bite of cracker and he was out like a light! This was cute but remember by now since it is Day Light Savings time.....it was way too late for a nap. We got home. He continuted to nap. It hit about 8PM maybe later which was about a 3+ hour nap so we changed his diaper and put him in bed. I was so doing the happy dance! I couldn't believe it! Well, about 9PM maybe 9:30 he woke up and wanted to play, play play and we let him. It is now 10:45 and I am looking at him on the tv screen and he is finally settling down. Oh what does Spring have in store for us??? I am a little afraid to ask.

Adam makes his escape

Well, I have been waiting for my little active boy to climb out of his crib! He did it for the 1st time during his 'so called nap' on Friday, March 12, 2010. Saturday morning I heard him stirring and calling 'mama'. I stretched and yawned and thought the cry will come soon. I heard a soooo soft 'mama' again. I rolled over and looked down the hall and here he came walking down the hall!!! Today, I put him down for his nap and turned around to turn on some music and out of the corner of my eye I saw him standing there looking at me as proud as he could! I then put him back in there so I could just capture it on video! Then Brent came in and put him in so he could capture it on video! Funny! Now, we have to change to toddler bed and PRAY he will obey and sleep through the night as he has been doing in his bed! PRAY PRAY PRAY!!!

My testamony

This week at my Mom2Mom group, many fantastic women told their testamonies! A true testament for lack of better words to the fabulous women in that group. I sat around in awe and a little........inferier. I wasn't going to share a thing. But how am I to be authentic if I just sit back and selfishly listen to everyone else share a part of them and not give a part of me in return.

I kinda have 2 parts to my testamony. I will only share 1 part. The other part is too personal for an internet blog. By my testamony at this point in time is that.......I don't really have one. I have many great friends who have strong stories of when they became a christian and how it changed their life! I think my friends are stronger for their stories. Kind of like their past has made them who they are and STRONGER! Their past and their stories has given them a visual reason to be passionate! I became a christian at age 6 and remember it word for word. Now people will say that 6 years is too young to understand christianity. Well, maybe that part is true BUT not too early to understand the love of Jesus Christ! But to me, that is not a testamony. I have always believed that Jesus is my Lord and Saviour! I have not doubt and my FAITH has ALWAYS been trusted to him. The story comes in here. I just float along life. Knowing what I know. I think there is a comfort there that has never made me do anything extra! At the same time, I have a huge fear that I am not doing 'enough'. But I don't do anything about it. I do a Bible study maybe 2 times a year and when I am 'involved' I have my quiet time. Other than that, I say my prayers and talk to God as I go throughout the day but I don't commune with him in peace and quiet. I guess I say all this because I feel like the 'big' moments that others have experienced has made them stronger. I however just float and flutter and hope I am living a life that is honorable that others will see Christ in me! But still not doing anything 'extra'. So my hope has and always will be that one day I will be more passionate in my relationship with Christ and that will pass on to my son and he will in turn become a child on his knees and then a man on his knees. And THAT will be my testamony! The legacy of my son!

Mom Confession #14

What am I suppose to do? Adam is so picky when eating. I have always read that you should not cook separate things for the kids. So lately this is what we do to have him eat. He really only likes chicken, cheese, fruit, yogurt, crackers and some treats and baby food veggie packs. So I usually only cook chicken or some form of white meat for dinner and everything else I give him separately. So he is kinda getting what I already cook. He never eats the veggie or starch I cook. Only the chicken. If he doesn't eat chicken, he will eat lunch meat or vienna sausage and that is it. So I am getting soooooo tired of looking in the pantry and giving him the same stuff. Oh and he doesn't like his food to touch. So last night, I made macaroni casserole. Who doesn't like macaroni? Anyway, He doesn't even try stuff. So I reasoned with him and talked to him and he never tried it so I pulled him down out of his high chair. Surely he will be hungry for breakfast. nope! Lunch? No, I gave him the same thing just begging him to try it and nope. So I pulled him out again. By dinner....starving right? Nope he is too strong-willed. He BEAT me! Still didn't try it so I caved and gave him chicken. This entire post is a confession. yep, kinda starved him. yep, caved! ARG! This job is so hard! I know some of you may be saying he is too young to understand all that but he does! He does! He is so smart! I guess I will keep trying. Back to chicken!

Tried to say:

Mom Confession #13

I let my son slide down the back of the bathtub into his bath water. Yep, I know.....risky. But Adam just started climbing up on the back of the tub and then letting himself fall/slide into the tub! I tried to stop him but he pulls against me and has a good ol time sliding. I warn him and try to watch his head but I just let him keep sliding!

Adam's new words

Adam now says baby, beep beep and ball regularly. He is also very clear calling for his MiMi and can say Popo (my grandfather) very well.

Sunday, February 7, 2010

Mom Confession #12

Lately, Adam loves climbing on our little step ladder. And YES, I let him! But he is good at it. He goes up and says 'up' and goes down and says 'down'. But today, I watched him turn around and sit on the ladder and slide down the steps like a slide with his butt bumping all the way down. I think when his butt hit the floor he was a little stunned but hopped up and laughed and kept doing it. The protective Mom should have said NO. Adam, we go up the ladder and down feet first. The Mom Confessor just let him slide down. He IS a boy afterall. It occupied him for a few minutes anyway! I know....I know....shame on me. But there is your confession.

Sunday, February 7, 2010

Yesterday, I placed Adam in his crib for naptime. Which most of you know....does NOT happen because he will NOT sleep in there. He will take a longer nap in the living room where he knows all the 'action' is and he is not alone. In his crib, he will scream and only take a 30 minute nap IF he ever goesto sleep in the first place. Well, yesterday he screamed for a little bit and then started playing. Oh yea, I know this because we have a camera in his room that we can watch on our TV. Anyway, he picked up all his stuffed animals and KISSED them all. Very elaborate! So SWEET! He then cried some more and layed down and went to sleep for his 30 minute to the second nap. It was worth it!

Today, he said 'touchdown' for the super bowl. He also said 'I want down' the other day. He now clearly says MiMi and PopPop too!

I also didn't blog about this. BUT we visited with my sweet nephew, Peyton this week. And Adam LOVES him so much! Adam chases Peyton all over the house just a laughing. And without being asked he would just stand up and walk over to Peyton and give him huge hugs and sometimes kisses. You have to know that this is a big deal b/c Adam does not just give his hugs away. AND you have to ask him for them. He will even tell me uh uh. In other words, no. BUT Peyton he walked around hugging all day long. SOOOOOO CUTE!

Adam's day

Adam was super cute today! I went to try-on bridesmaid dresses for Shanna's wedding. Adam fell asleep in the car as I pulled the car into the parking lot...no lie! I moved him to the stroller and he stayed asleep! SHOCK! He woke up a little cranky and it took him a while to warm up to Aunt Shanna and to Jen. But once he warmed up he became a little charmer as always to his Aunt Shanna and made flirt eyes at Jen. Then he said bye over and over to them when we left.

Once we returned home he was so cute playing with his Daddy and I. Of course, he was a toot when it came to dinner. We won't even go there. But BATH time was adorable! He was staring at himself in the little silver disk under the faucet. (do you know what I am talking about) Anyway, he was making faces at his reflection. THEN he did not want to get out of the bath. Then he started dipping his head in the bath water. Over and over again so cute! My new favorite part is now he wants to cuddle after bath. He holds on like a tight little monkey and won't let me put him down for his diaper. Once we did that, he went around and knocked on the back door to tell Maggie and Hollie goodnight and then he kissed his Daddy and then held out his hand for me to hold his hand on the way to bed.

Bedtime, is my favorite. It takes a long time sometimes because Adam still tries to play in my lap. He points at ALL my facial features and wants me to tell him eyes, nose etc. over and over again. When I tell him no more he moves to giving me kisses over and over and over again. Tonight he gave me eskimo kisses! SOOO cute! How do I stop him from doing that and put him in his crib. Anyway, after a while I explain to him we are going to his bed and we all love him and his monkey is waiting for him in his bed and I will get him in the morning and yada yada yada. He will then cling to me like a crazy monkey again and whine and cry for me not to put him in his bed. But I have to. Tonight he just layed down. Watched me leave. When I watched him on the TV monitor he just played and played. After 5 minutes or so he cried a little then played some more and went to sleep! SOOOOO CUTE!

Oh yea... Adam's new thing is to knock on doors. He will say Bye, close a door, put himself on the outside, knock, say MaMa and I will open the door and he will say Hi. he will do that over and over again!

Adam's kisses

So Adam now does kisses very well! He will come give you a kiss on request.....but still on his terms. BUT he will almost always blow you a kiss with the kiss noise and every thing. And when you ask Adam if he can say I love you, he will blow a kiss too. Sometimes he will kiss the air too. So adorable.

The other night at night-night time, I was rocking him and fake sleeping (having my eyes closed) so that Adam would know...seriously it is time to sleep. All of a sudden I kept feeling something slobbery on my mouth. Adam was giving me kisses over and over and over again! He probably kissed me 10 times! MELT MY HEART!

Adam points out family

Adam was looking at pictures today. I asked him to point at Peyton, his cousin, and BAM he did! I asked again and he pointed at the 2nd picture of Peyton! Then I asked him to point at PopPop and he DID and said PopPop. Then I asked him to point at Aunt Shanna and he DID! I went to the kitchen fridge where there are many pictures and asked him to point at MiMi and BAM he did! Then I asked him to point at PopPop and BAM he did!

Adam scootcrawled all the way across the floor and beelined it for his dumptruck that is HIDDEN behind the chair. I put it there in the morning and this was at night. How he knew hours later to randomly beeline it to behind the chair, I have no idea. AND he didn't even see me put the dump truck back there. He was loaded in the car seat getting ready to go!
